Fermentation is one of the simplest ways to preserve food, boost nutrition, and add incredible flavor to everyday meals. It’s something humans have been doing for thousands of years… and once you start, it’s hard to stop!
On our homestead in northern Minnesota, fermentation is part of how we eat fresh food all year long, even when the garden is buried in snow. It stretches the harvest, supports gut health, and turns simple ingredients into something special.
Below you’ll find my favorite fermentation recipes. The ones we actually make and eat on repeat.
I’m always testing and adding new ferments so check back often!
